Examly supports full examinations (trial exams, topic tests, mock exams), shorter quizzes, and classroom activities. You can use the same platform for high-stakes formal exams and everyday formative assessment. Question formats include multiple choice, short answer, extended response, and more, aligned with formats used in modern digital assessments.

For live sessions, students enter a session code (and optional PIN if you enable it). You can also schedule assessments with due dates and share links, or use LMS integrations (e.g. Google Classroom) to distribute work. Student provisions and access arrangements can be applied so adjustments are built into the assessment experience.

Yes. Examly is built with NSW schools in mind. You can run timed exams, use Safe Exam Browser for locked-down conditions where required, and structure papers with clear sections and marking criteria. Marks and feedback can be released in stages to suit your school’s policy.

Teachers mark in the platform with support for anonymous marking, moderation workflows, and batch marking. You can attach marking criteria to questions and use flexible marking views. Where LMS integrations are enabled, results can be passed back to your school systems.
